My foot is alright. it only hurts when i put any pressure on it. the real pain is from the crutches :P the doctor said it will take 3-6 weeks to heal. its an ovulsion fracture. so i might be staying an extra week or so, but there is a chance i coukld be healed in time, so be praying for me. im glad aryan got to come over! :) did she get her Pat blessing?? i miss u guys tons! and i really miss the nerf wars haha but life is pretty good here. not much new has happened recently, im really ready to leave :p but im glad to hear everyone is doing well, did adam get that job yet? i got a letter from him the other day.

A Broken "Foot" and a Contrite Spirit
1/26/11 Just a quick update to let friends and family know that Jared broke his foot playing volleyball at the MTC. We don't know many of the details yet, but he sent an email yesterday saying "He's Fine!" He didn't even think he had broken anything at first and tried to walk it off but later went to have it checked out and found out that he had a fracture. All we know is that he is on crutches for now. He said that depending on how long it will take it to heel, he MAY have to stay in the MTC a week or two longer and is asking for your prayers that he will be able to leave when expected. We'll fill you in more when we hear something.

1/18/2011 (Letter to Moarefdoust's)
So, I got the latest print off of your blog :o) I always love reading it. It makes me feel like I'm back in Ohio, but then I wake up and realize I'm in Utah and it makes me miss you guys that much more. I just got Aryan's latest batch of letters. Ahh....it makes me miss you guys SO much....but things are going good here. OH and guess what?? Me and my companion got called as the new ZONE Leaders!! It's scary, but I'm excited for it too. We get this week to shadow the old ones, so that's good. There's tons of stuff to do, but it's good. It keeps me and my comp. focused and pushes us to be better missionaries so we can be examples for our zone. So I am actually grateful for the calling but yeah things are going good here. People come and go everyday, and I can't wait till it's my turn to go. A lot because I'm pretty much sick of this place, but mostly because it'll mean I'm that much closer to seeing you guys again. And hopefully time will go a little faster when I actually get out to Chile and start working. Did I tell you that there's 4 of us in our district going to Concepcion? Me and my comp., and Hermana's Young and Child ha ha. So we're all super excited. My Spanish is actually coming a long great now. Yesterday, I spent the WHOLE day talking in Spanish. So it's good to know I can do that. Oh and my teacher says our Spanish is already better then his was before he left. ha ha So that's comforting. Sorry my handwriting is so terrible ha ha. But in my defense, I'm writing while sitting on a washing machine right now. ha ha But I don't think it really makes a difference, cuz it's always bad. But Maybe it will get better while I'm out here. ha ha Anyways, my laundry is almost done, so I will talk to you all later. I might send you an email later if I have time. I love and miss you all! Don't forget about your Elder!

1/1/2011 (letter)
Dear "Other Mother" (he's talking about Aryan's Mom, Lisa)
Thank you so much for keeping me updated on everything. ha ha I always love hearing how everyone is doing and it's also so nice getting "dearelder.com" letters, esp. when everyone else in my district is getting them. lol I told Aryan about my idea to swap memory cards, so it's a good thing you got her a camera for Christmas. Now we can video msg each other. ha ha So be sure she takes lots of videos and pictures please. ha ha I just got your blue typed letter from Dec. 26th yesterday and to answer some of your questions I haven't already answered.....1. My companions name is Elder Chad Thomas from Auburn California. There's a lot of people here from California actually. 2. He's my only roommate. We had a couple others for a little bit, but then we got a new guy, so they became a trio and had to go to another room. 3. Yes, we are both going to Chile. Along with a couple of Sister Missionaries, Sister Young and Child. 4. Yeah, we all get along great. Maybe a little too well lol cuz we always gave way too much fun after we all get back to the dorms. ha ha This is the last day for all of the native Spanish speakers in our district. Which is extremely sad because we hang out with them so much and they are all so funny. Last night we all stayed up till midnight and had a new years party in Elder Echeguyen and Martinez's room. It was great. We opened bottles of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider ha ha. I'm really going to miss them. Our floor just won't be the same without them...but life goes on and I'm sure I'll meet plenty more people and become good friends with them too. I miss you all so much and hope your having fun, (but not too much ha ha). Anyways.....I gotta go, my laundry is almost done. We did laundry today with the guys that are leaving. ha ha Oh, I'll talk to you all later. I love you guys!

1/4/11 (email)
awww no way that is awesome news! im so glad for Joe :) i miss you all too.. but life here is good. i write a ton to aryan, so if you want to know anything about how im doing you could probably just ask her haha but yeah i stayed up on new years with "los Advansados" haha it was great. and i loved all the Christmas presents you guys sent me :) hope you guys are having fun tho. aww i miss you too hila :) how is Eli liking all my stuff? haha on Christmas here at the MTC we had a big talent show, and me and a bunch of ppl from my district did a musical ensemble, and i got to p[lay the guitar :) and yes i am enjoying it here. the spirit is always so strong. which is good, because without it i wouldn't be able to learn or teach anything at all. its absolutely essential. but yes i miss and love you all. i bet the house is a lot quieter now :)
