4.23.12

chile is just fine. starting to get a little chile now actualyy :D ha ha get it? chile?? ha ha... ha...ok.
something really funny happened the other night actually :) my comp would be mad at me for telling the story, but i dont wanna ever forget it lol :D ok so he´s been having some stomach problems lately and has been in the bathroom quite a bit. and it actually gets kind of annoying actually cuz he has this wierd habbit of taking a shower anytime after he takes a dump lol so im always the one who has to go outside and turn on the gas water heater or "calefont" and so one night we were just in a house of a recent convert to the church who lives kind of far away from our house, so we took a taxi to get there. and so we got done teaching and started the long walk home, and about 3/4s of the way home my comp is just like "oh gosh." "we gotta hurry! lets get a taxi!" but it was almost the end of the month, so neither of us had much money. he didnt have any actually and was bumming me for money the whole week actually lol and so he trys to tell me to get a taxi to go home faster, but i only had just enough to go to the district class in Chillan the next week, so we couldnt get a taxi,so we just start walking faster down the sidewalk and he´s yelling "oh gosh i cant hold it!" and "go faster!" and other stuff, so im dying laughing, and then we´re finally like 2 blocks from the house in the town plaza, and i look back i see him stopped with a wierd expression on his face and he´s like "eww i just crapped myself" :D so now im dying laughing even more, and he´s just waddling with this disgusted expression on his face like "aww it feels gross!" "i told you we needed a taxi!" "how embarrassing" lol so we got to the house and he jumped straight into the bathroom and yelled for me to turn on the calefont for him lol it was pretty much the funniest thing ever.
the only other things that have happened was that we had a food cooking competition in the church. and it went really well, and we had like 11 people come that arent members the 4 judges were investigators of ours. one of them has a baptismal date for this saturday. so we´re working towards that right now.
the other thing was last night when my comp and E´Paz decided to have a flour fight downstairs in our house, but we didnt have much flor, so it turned into a "throw whatever you find on the other person fight" there ended up being powder ALLLL over the floor and a little on the walls and salsa in the bathroom... we made E´Lopez clean the bathroom up. and me n the other 2 elders cleaned the other stuff. i only got hit by some salsa and a littleflour. my comp and E¨Paz got covered in flour. and i poured water all over him to finish it lol but its all cleaned up now haha
thats pretty much all thats happened here lately.
Love and miss you all!

well this week hasnt been quite as eventful.. actually i dont remember hardly anything interesting. Just that its pretty much impossible for me n my comp to get along. he`s evil. lol but seriously yesterday he freaked out on me about something and just ran away and then called the zone leaders and the mission president saying that I was the one who abandoned him! im actually deppressed that were together again this cambio. i cant get any work done with him. but im just trying to keep my cool even tho he just likes to make me mad and accuse me for stuff i didnt do. but amazingly we had 3 people come to church this sunday. i just hope the lord knows what hes doing leaving us together another cambio. well theres not mmuch else going on here, but ill try to send some pix to make up for it. they say a picture is worth a thousand words right ??
I love and miss you all!

4.9.12

This week was pretty crazy actually. first off, monday night we had a family home evening in the house of a member,
we cooked these things called popusas that my companion knows how to make that are from el salvador
they were pretty good. then we shared a little message, then we played a game with flour involved where you make
a little sand castle like thing out of flour, and then you take turns witha knife cutting sections off without making it fall,
and the person that makes it fall has to find the piece of candy in it without using your hands. So we did that and then
the looser had to dig his face in the flour, and when he did that, my comp took the flour and started throwing it on everyone
so we all went outside and had a big flour fight and got flour all over the place. but then we all stayed to help clean up. so it ended well, but it was a huge mess lol and we thought that the famiy would never let us do a family home evening in their house again.
Then this thursday the stake sent each of us a mini-missionary for the weekend. it was a big tri stake activity here. and
we got people from penco. They slept in the house of a member, but we went and got them every morning and went out to work with them.
my comps name was hermano llanos (ya-nos) hes only 16 but he was cool, and we got a lot of stuff done while he was here, but we had to walk a ton, so he had sore feet and legs at the end when they had to go home sunday. But they all said they had a good time.
and it was pretty memorable. especially because of what happened to elder Lopez..
so it was right after we ate lunch. all eight of us went back to the house to get ready to go out and work, so me n elder paz are in one of the study rooms upstairs with sliding glass doors that lead out to a balcony, and one of the mini missionaries comes running in and was like "where are elder lopez`s ties??" and he saw theem hanging on the wall and took them all and stuffed them in his backpack and was like elder lopez too k my coat and hid it, so im gonna hide his ties. and me n elder paz were like "um thats not a good idea, he gets pretty crazy about his ties" but he took them and went into the next room beside us and we hear elder lopez come up the stairs and walk into the room and start horsing around, and then all the sudden we hear a loud crash and see glass go flying out on the balcony, so we both ran into the other room and see elder lopez standing theere with hermano saavedra with his hands on E`Lopez`s forehead and blood running down his face and some on his arms too, so we got some toilet paper and cleaned him up. He had walked through a big glass door and only had a few cuts on his forehead, one of them deep. and a few cuts on his forearm too. so we got him to the hospital, and they got him all bandaged up, and gave him 2 stitches on his forehead with a big bandage. so now everyone is asking him "what happened??" and he`s just like i walked through a glass door that i thought was open.
so thats pretty much the story of the week haha but it looks like the mission will pay for the window. so i guess its all good. and it could have been a whole lt worse than it was. but the lord protects his servants.
Thanks for everything. I love and miss you all and I hope you had a great Easter!
Love,

4.2.12

well things are good here i chile. not much out of the normal. General Conference was good. and we had a lot of investigators come too. altogether we had 6 people in church with us, and 3 of them are getting pretty cose to baptism. and they all liked it a lot.
I liked it a lot too. Saturday i got to watch it in english cuz we went to the stake center and there was a room for gringos. but sunday we stayed here in San Carlos and i had to watch it in spanish. its a littlle harder to follow, but towards the end i didnt hardly notice it was in spanish. The Apostols and the Prophet gave perfect talks for our investigators too. they answered all their questions.
Other than that. this week was pretty normal. things were a bit better with my comp this week. we´re finally learning how to work together a little bit.
he´s been sick this week still too. but just with stomach problems that dont let him sleep at night sometimes.
Oh and this week my comp has had a fasination with playing with the neighbors cat. and one day he brought it in the house and let it go in the other missionaries study room so when they came in to plan at night they would find it lol and when they came home and found it they got all ticked off at my comp lol so we all got together and locked him outside on the balcony with the cat and thru a blanket to him so he wouldnt get cold.  but he got all mad and threw the blanket on the roof of the neighbors house, so we let him back in and made him go ask for it the next morning lol
The weather is still the same. freezing cold in the mornings and hot during the day :P
but its slowly starting to get colder which im looking forward to.
I love and miss you all!
